Google’s Secret Hiring Program

I Got Invited To Google Foobar (Google’s Secret Hiring Program)

This morning while I was brushing up on my Generative AI skills, I found a weird header pop-up while browsing on Chrome. It looked like this. I initially thought that it was malware but still clicked on ‘I want to play’. (I am glad that it didn’t end up like in the Squid Game TV show). I was redirected to a Linux command line interface that asked me to solve a set of coding problems. Completely perplexed, I performed a Google search and found out that I was actually invited to a secret hiring program by Google. As per Turing.com’s post on this, Google Foobar is a secret way of recruiting top developers and programmers from around the world. It consists of 5 levels — where each level gets more difficult than the previous one.In total, there are 9 questions included in these 5 levels. Each question is time bound and some questions are allocated more time than others, depending on the difficulty of the questions. One can submit their solutions in either Python or Java. (For me, it’s Python). Google Foobar provides direct interviews to the developers and programmers who clear all 5 levels of this challenge.
